FORTNIGHT OF MY 2016

New Year : @Jualcydo :Hope you all had a very good Christmas, just as I did.

Today a fortnight of 2016 is over .Now we have almost stopped greeting one another Happy New Year.

  • New Year day is just another new day as it should be.
  • Naah; The New Year brings new beginnings, new thought process and not to forget our resolutions. (I din't make any)

  • On new year’s eve; after the feast Mass followed by pre-midnight and post-midnight dinner welcoming 2016.

  • Waiting on the side walk to cross the road, my daughter (thud) gets hit on her leg by a biker, both fall.

  • I just stand immobile ,my reflex is slow.(is it to do with; into my 40's) as I look on, she gets up and stands straight. I feel somewhat relieved yet in a shock. As i lean to help the biker, he too picks up his bike and is fine.

  • Within few minutes ,Husband rushes back to us, as he had gone ahead across to remove the car from the parkway. We thank God It's nothing serious.

  • We drive back home, a big bruise,The dim street lights showed no wounds under the dress.Morning the first available doctor in our area is visited.
  • We travel to cousins for her Birthday on New Year for lunch. Visiting extended family in the evening. It's a happy day.

  • As we move on to the next day, gets depressing, news about the pathankot terrorist attacks.
  • sweet memories of  our family vacation in May 2015 to Punjab and Himachal, take routes via Gurdaspur district,(attacked in July) as we continued our road trip to pathankot stop over for lunch, and continue our destintion to Dalhousie.

  • On the highway on and off we came across BSF soldiers near checkpoints. The sight of them made our hearts swell with pride.

  • Daughters bruise healing well, but another scare on 6th day, suffers pain and fever there is swelling near the knee area and it worsens , headed to doc's again, an x-ray . Nothing to get seriously worried; it's soft tissue damage with medication and time will heal.
  • Husband returns from his 5 day trip to home-town to attend a family wedding.
  • Special home-town sweets once again on our table. After my trip end of November 2015
  • May we all look up to positivity as we move ahead with 2016.
